Let’s do our best.

“We are reminded that, in the fleeting time we have on this Earth, what matters is not wealth, or status, or power or fame but rather how well we have loved and what small part we have played in making the lives of other people better.”   …   Barack Obama (Tucson, Arizona )

Time is so short.  We never know how much of it we have, nor how much of it we have to share with those we love.  We forget that each word we share with another: whether that be the guy at the water cooler, our child, our partner or our neighbour across the fence – could be the last word that they ever hear.  Does anyone really want those last words or thoughts to be angry or painful ones?  I know that I don’t.

When you think about it we don’t really have all that long here on good old planet Earth.  We spend so much time being “busy” or lost in our thoughts that we forget.  We forget that the most important jobs that we have to do here are to do our best to love and truly understand each other, to be kind whenever possible and to do what we can to help another’s life be just a little bit better than it was before we came into it.

Time here is precious… lets do the best that we can to be the best that we can be!

Godspeed and Joyful Journeying Everyone!
