“Count your blessings” Video – wonderful things to remember

Here I sit, doing my best to let my perky self shine.

I know that I am NOT alone.   I know that I have friends and family who are ready – at the drop of a hat – to support me through the next phase of my journey.  I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Universe surrounds and fills me – waiting only for my acknowledgement and for my requests.

And yet, today, I am in pain and I am afraid …  Perky Polly hates pain – it makes it hard to dance when it cripples our ability to walk and stand.  Sunshine Sue has taken to packing a suitcase and heading for somewhere warmer and less scary.  And so … that leaves me here … sitting on my internal park bench and hoping that the sun is going to come back out soon.

The message in this video helps me to pick myself back up, dust myself off and get ready to soldier on … because I know that I’m really NOT alone and that I really AM blessed.

I wish for you all the blessings that are possible.  I wish that good things should rain into your life; like a beautiful summer sun-shower and that … you have many, many opportunities to count said blessings.

Be well.  Share love.  Be vigilant in your search for joy and remember to smile!  You never know whose life you will inspire by that simple act.

  1. I wish you a speedy recovery Suzanne. Pull on your Super Sue socks and fire up those superpowers inside. Better days are ahead. Spring is growing everywhere :~)

  2. Hi Suzanne ~ I wish for you as many moments of relief possible, somehow in your journey. It is more than challenging to weather through constant pain. My troubles are much different than yours to be sure, but I am inspired by your kind and wise words. As much as possible I try to keep busy doing things that bring me small bits of confidence, like reading good thoughts here and there. I don’t always appreciate the little happy things when feeling overwhelmed, but I try to still surround myself with them. The little pot of wheat grass growing wild on my desk, the amazing beauty of a few fresh flowers, a warm cup of tulsi tea, opening the window to hear the birds singing outside, and the smell of the rain. At some point I can rise up from my rest on the bench and notice the joy that’s here.

May today bring you some simple pleasure.

Thank you for your kind words and thoughts Sue. I will be having surgery – probably this week … :O … and then one more time in about 8 weeks :P. Perky Polly and I are determined to begin dancing when this all done!! More good news … Spring is here, Summer is coming and I will be able recover my strength under my sun canopy in my itty-bitty (but pretty) backyard. So … I shall be diligently watching for “happy thoughts”, doing my best to appreciate the little joys in life and writing … Wishing you a great day. Susanne
