“The future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of 60 minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is.” … – C.S. Lewis
I am often grateful that we live in a world of linear time. It means that the mistakes that I make will pass, that challenging times will end and that no matter how scary the circumstances may be that they will pass and I will emerge out the other side of them. And lastly it means that I live in a world where I can change the course of the events that are unfolding around me by changing those thoughts.
Someone once said; “Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow is a dream. And today is a gift – that’s why it’s called The Present.” What a nice way to look at each new day and each new moment in our lives. I believe that every moment is a chance to take a new step forward and an opportunity to change the path that we are on, to erase the patterns that we were running and to move into our dreams. Moment by moment, thought by thought, choice after choice we have the chance to move forward. The only question is: “Will we take it?”
When we are little children we could hardly wait to be adults—to have all that perceived freedom … I’m amazed by how quickly all of the minutes and years have flown by! And now here I am … dreaming new dreams and watching as Life and I make them happen.
Each morning, when I awaken, I do my best to remember to be grateful that … a) I woke up on the “green side of the grass”, b) I live in a country where my intention to live and choose my own path is a safe thing to do and lastly c) that I live in an interactive Universe whose loving presence I feel and see in the supportive and anachronistic world and events around me. As long as I’m traveling hand-in-hand with Life … I know that no matter what the future brings to my doorstep each minute passed will be a good one.
Godspeed and Arinaste Everyone (from my heart to your heart)
