“My philosophy is that if we make up our mind what we are going to make of our lives, then work toward that goal … we never lose.” … Ronald Reagan
There are long-term goals and short-term goals … dreams and wishes … and hopes and desires … but one thing that they all have in common is this: … if nothing is done about them … if they remain as permanent residents rambling forever around our internal landscapes … never making the break for freedom in the outside world … then all they will ever be are ghosts of what might have been.
I’m a big fan of “vision boards”. Mine take the form of everything from the pictures of my big dreams … taped onto my office wall so that I never lose sight of where Life and I are heading … to the dollar store scribblers filled with shorter-term wishes and intentions … backed up by dozens of Google images. I have come to understand that simply talking about what I want … merely imagining where I’d like to end up isn’t enough … I need to be able to reach out into my potential future and feel what it will be like when Life co-creates said amazing times with me.
I have learned that as Life graces me with kaleidoscopic glimpses of tomorrow … and the tomorrow after that … that it is the feelings of Its gifts that drive me forward the most effectively. These days my goals all spring-board off of two central questions … these being … “How do I want to feel?” … and … “How do I imagine that l will feel when this occurs?” I like to feel good! I think that everybody likes to feel good … and so … when I know that good feelings are going to ensue from the fruition of my dreams and goals … well I just naturally work harder … flow easier … and connect more intentionally!
For me this whole co-creating with Life thing is a winning combination … I ask … Life responds … I feel the awesome beauty of imminent Grace … and Life increases the delivery of synchronistic guideposts … I follow the Celestial breadcrumbs … and Life and I co-create. Wow … what a trip! Every day I thank Life for the gift of life … love … and feeling connected … and every day Life responds in Its normal amazing and caring manner by delivering even more synchronicities to my doorstep. On that note … I better get going … I was feeling really grateful this morning and I think I see a delivery truck filled with opportunities backing up the driveway … Whoo-hoo!
