Welcome to the Miracle Hotel

“I am realistic ~ I expect miracles.” …Wayne Dyer

Miss Perky and I take great delight in providing the world with opportunities to see things in a different … more positive way. My old car used to have a bumper sticker that read: “What can go right WILL go right. Expect a miracle.” Sometimes I wondered if the shaking of other driver’s heads reflected their total disbelief in my upbeat message or if it was a commentary on my Sunshiny smiles and nods. Whatever …

Today I am driving a brand-new-to-me SunshineYellow Volkswagen Beetle. My happy, little bumper sticker may be gone; however, my little Joy-mobile has other ways of communicating our positive approach to life. When friends and I stand about 5 feet behind her it is really easy to see the jumbo smile (trunk), perky “eyes” (rear-seat headrests if you want to get picky about this) and cute little pink cheeks (Rear lights). Once perceived this way no-one ever looks at my car the same way again and the comment is always: “OMG that is so-o-o you!” Yes … yes it is!

Einstein said that there are two ways of looking at the world: one as if nothing is a miracle and the other as if everything is a miracle. I really like that! It has been my experience that more I walk around knowing that Life actually wants me to be happy… the more happiness/miracles It can deliver. The more that I focus my thoughts on a life of abundance, joy and truly helpful service to others … the more that life flows in.

I have found that my attitude really does make a difference and if I want the best attitude/results possible I need to be listening to my Heart and Miss Perky on a non-stop basis … after all … anything else just doesn’t produce the same big-grin-fireworks-type results … so what is the point of that!?! Life is truly awesome and every day Miss Perky, Ms Sunshine & I offer up BIG thanks for Its more-than-generous sprinkling of aforementioned miracles onto our path. To paraphrase Dr. Wayne Dyer … I expect miracles … and in my life that is being realistic!

Arinaste everyone (from my heart to your heart)

  1. This is just what I needed to read today, and somehow it opened me up and made me smile deeply inside. I’ve been struggling with grief since my husband passed away 4 months ago, and I haven’t been able to get my happiness back yet. Thanks for the encouragement 🙂

    • Hi Sue!! I am so-o-o-o sorry to hear about your husband. ◔̯◔ I lost my son 13 years ago. I know that’s very different from losing a beloved partner, but at least I understand a little bit about having someone you love move on before you do. Try not to be too hard on yourself … 4 months isn’t that long in the bigger scheme of things and eventually … if you allow them to … things will change for the better. Sending you warm thoughts. ♥ Susanne
