“All that we are arises with our thoughts and with our thoughts we make the world.” … Buddha
Way back at the beginning of the 1900’s Henry Ford said: “Whether you think you can or think you can’t ~ you’re right either way.” In the 6th Century Buddha said the same thing in a slightly different way: “All that we are arises with our thoughts and with our thoughts we make the world.” I find it fascinating that long before “The Secret” was delivered to the public great minds had been sharing the same idea.
When I was on my journey though Medical Crisis Land I inherently knew that how well or how poorly I did would … to a large degree … depend on my state of mind and heart. Consequently I spent as much of my time as possible carefully maintaining as positive an outlook as I could. I still did my time with chemotherapy … and I still had numerous surgeries and their repercussions to deal with … but what I noticed was that not only did everything go “unexpectedly” well … with minimal side-effects … but I was the one cheering up the medical staff!
These days I’m making a new way through life and I’m darn excited about it. I’m practicing the Buddha-philosophy-of-creation and am pretty thrilled with the awesome world that Capital “L” Life’s and my thoughts and heart are co-creating. Perky Polly and Sunshine Sue are here to remind me to keep aforementioned thoughts positive and my gaze focused on a bright tomorrow … so consequently our “today’s” are filled with wonderful synchronicities … dreams-coming-true-before-our-very-eyes … and joyful encounters with other like-minded individuals. If all that I am arises from my thoughts (and heart) then the world that I am in the process of making is set to sparkle.
