“I gave myself the gift of Self-Acceptance this Christmas. It looks like it’s going to be a good year!” … Susanne
The world is chock-a-block full of unique individuals … and for every one of those there seems to be at least three more who are determined to beat that uniqueness and individuality into the next incarnation. I notice that the news headlines are filled with governments … organizations … and fanatics who are so threatened by a different opinion than their own that they are constantly coming out swinging … repressing … and killing.
I happen to think that, that is a real shame. It has been my experience that “Killing the messenger” never serves any purpose other than to make the killer of aforementioned message look both insecure and foolish. Even in my most uncertain days I’ve never been a big supporter of the “Make-yourself-feel-bigger-by-making-others-feel-smaller” group. When it comes to learning how to feel “bigger” I have found that doing the hard, inner work … the heavy-duty internal clearing and house-cleaning … and a little self-education makes the biggest difference.
So … this year … as I have now moved into my new physical digs … and a new head-space … I decided that it was time to indulge a little and treat myself to a jumbo-sized box of Self-Acceptance. It sure beats the heck out of the chocolates and coffee makers that were on sale. Now … not only am I not packing on extra “hiding” pounds … but with my new Self-Acceptance App Miss Perky and I have a whole new batch of self-directed, positive comments and ideas to explore. Whoo-Hoo!
If you’re in the mood to try out this neat new tool Miss Perky and I heard through the grapevine that Life is having a huge New Year’s sale … in fact … Ms Sunshine said she heard that It was giving Self-Acceptance gifts away to everyone who wants to try out this new way of thinking … feeling … and Being. Life just doesn’t get any better than that!
Godspeed and Joyful Journeying Everyone
