What makes Your heart do a Happy-Dance?

“If you want to be happy find what makes your Heart sing … crank up the volume … and start dancing.” … Susanne

Everybody is looking for happiness.  Perfume companies would like us to believe that if we smell like a flower … instead of ourselves … that, that will do the trick.  Fitness centers are trying to convince us that if we look different then happiness will be banging down our doors.  And T.V. and magazines suggest that if we’ll just lay our money down and buy their products … whatever they may be … we will live happily ever after… and with a 30 day guarantee to boot.  How come I get the feeling that they’re not being completely honest with me?

I don’t know about you but it’s been my experience that no matter how much money, energy or hope I pour into a commercial product or an advertiser’s promises … and no matter how much fun or even awesome aforementioned products may be … they very seldom bring happiness that is of anything other than a transient nature.  Hey … I’m not saying that there’s not some pretty nifty stuff out there … I’m simply saying that I’ve found that if I want my happiness to last and last I have to find it first inside of me.

After all of the water that has dribbled, poured and/or rampaged under our bridge Miss Perky and I have established some pretty clear guidelines as to what makes our Heart sing and what simply makes it grumble and we are making absolutely sure to include heaping helpings of the happy-making stuff in each and every day.  Miss Perky can regularly be seen hopping, skipping and jumping to the music and Ms. Sunshine has installed Heart-based mp-3 players onto to her snazzy eye-wear.  It’s one big, noisy party out here in Heartland as Life, Polly, Sunshine and I celebrate life.  If you’re passing by and your Heart likes our music … come on over and join in … we all love sharing happiness.

Godspeed and Joyful Journeying Everyone
